By forgoing chill filtration and with a higher bottling strength of 48% ABV, the whisky remains particularly aromatic and has a fuller texture. Aberlour Distillery is known for its traditionally sherry forward single malts, which impress with rich fruit and spicy depth. Maturation takes place using the double cask method: the
